If you are interested in learning how to put a festival together while working in a creative and stimulating atmosphere, part time and full time volunteering positions are currently available in the following areas:

Film Programming
We are looking for a Programming Assistant to help the Program Director to screen the short films, update and maintain the film database, initiate and maintain communication with the filmmakers, and handle print traffic. We are open to split some of the above responsibilities in more than one position (i.e. you are only interested in Print Traffic). Just let us know.
Period: ASAP through June 30, 2008


Public Relations
We need a PR Assistant to help the PR MGR and press relations department.
You will help create press lists; communicate with national and international press and filmmakers; help organize the event; coordinate TV appearances; coordinate meetings between journalists and filmmakers throughout the festival and more. Must be proficient in WORD, EXCEL, mass e-mailing. Ability to speak with press/filmmakers on the phone and in person is a MUST. English as a first language a plus, but not necessary.
Period: Apr 1 through June 20, 2008


Design
We are looking for a talented, innovative Head Designer for our 2008 print campaign.
This is a great opportunity to create a diversified portfolio. Job includes designing a 160-page film catalogue, poster, postcard, film menu, print advertisement, t-shirt, and award certificate. If interested, please forward portfolio to Susan: susan@wbff.org.

WebDesign
We are looking for a Web Designer to re-invent or refresh our website.
Our site was established in 1999 and counts over 1 million unique visitors a year.
Period: Anytime between now and March 15, 2008


Production
We are looking for a Production Assistant to work closely with the Production MGR throughout the production of BiFF 2008. You will be involved with the production of our printed materials as a liaison between the office and the designer and will be asked to handle specific day-by-day tasks.
