Synopsis

Her boyfriend is pulling away. Her sister is growing up too fast. Her brother is falling under a bad influence. Her friends have plans that don't include her. With one week before she ships off for basic training, Brianna finds herself trying to make sure home will be the same place when she returns.

About the director

John Rangel received an MFA in Film Production from Chapman University (Orange, CA - 2003). His graduate thesis film An Assignment ('03) was an Official Selection of ten festivals and won numerous awards including an Imagen Award and "Best of Chicago" at the Chicago International Film Festival. It also aired on the Showtime and SiTV networks. John's first feature-length movie, south loop, was an Official Selection of the Seattle True Independent Film Festival. The Girls on Liberty Street premiered at the Chicago International Film Festival ('13) and was named one of the Top Ten Films of 2013 by acclaimed filmmaker/writer Dan Sallitt.
