Synopsis
An alcoholic NYC ne'er-do-well struggles with mixed success to remain both unmoved by a chance encounter with an erstwhile Alcoholics Anonymous crony and uninvolved in sudden, escalating violence at a local coffee shop.

Bruce Bennett's first short, SHIRTSLEEVES, screened at festivals in 4 countries, and can be seen on the Independent Film Channel. Bennett is currently developing his feature debut, STRONGER THAN DIRT, with REVEILLE producer Howard Gertler and Process. Bruce Bennett frequently writes for Time Out NY's film section.
