synopsis Live action techniques using innovative camera choreography, photo sculpture, and kinetic sculpture depict the story of a stoic mechanical wishbone on its journey through a world of snoring beds and paper birds. Both machines and objects become characters set in a bewitching landscape. director Randall Okita was born in Calgary, Alberta and now works in Vancouver and Toronto. Randall's 2008 short film Machine with Wishbone, has screened at festivals worldwide, winning awards in Brooklyn, Toronto, Winnipeg and Yorkton. In 2008 Randall developed and produced children's program On Your Feet, now airing on Treehouse TV, and served as associate producer on Dare to Care, a documentary about North American educational philosophy, distributed by the National Film Board. Randall is currently completing a dramatic film with the Canadian Film Centre, and in post-production on A World Outside, a feature-length documentary about residential schools in Northern India.
