BFF 2024 AWARD WINNERS

On June 9, 2024, BFF awarded and assigned prizes to 30 filmmakers during the Award Ceremony at Windmill Studios. ATIKAMEKW SUNS by Chloé Leriche won the Best Narrative Feature and picked up the Grand Chameleon Award. BLOOD LIKE WATER by Dima Hamdan took home the award for Best Narrative Short. The theme of the 27th BFF (2024) edition was IMMERSION...

"The 2024 theme was meant to reveal the festival intention, and the desire of our selected filmmakers, to tell stories in a vertical fashion. Stories that dive way beyond their own surface to force the audience to consider not only the obvious outcomes and meanings, but also the hidden and secretive ones". mu.

BFF 2025 - 10 Days of Local and International Indie Films

in 2025, BFF will present between 150-160 films. They will play at Windmill Studios, Wythe Hotel, and online, all in competition. The winners, besides the BFF Certificates of Excellence, will take home prizes (cash, products, services) totaling roughly $50K. Click for awards/prizes breakdown.
