About the director
Sara Sowell is a video editor and multidisciplinary artist who works in moving image, performance and sound. Her work reanimates legacies of art and media production with irreverence through abstraction and chance methods.
Born in Houston, Texas, she studied at the Maryland Institute College of Art and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Department of Cinematic Arts. Her work has exhibited in venues, galleries and festivals including CROSSROADS, The Wexner Center, Antimatter [Media Art], Athens International Film and Video Festival, and The Film-makers’ Cooperative. She is currently teaching multidisciplinary arts and film courses in Milwaukee, WI.
