Synopsis

On the brink of their thirties, five longtime friends reunite for a farewell getaway, but their idyllic retreat turns sour when they lose their beloved dogs in the woods.

About the director

Juan Pablo Daranas Molina is a Cuban and American filmmaker based in New York City. He is the founding director of the production company FILA20, whose work has been showcased at festivals including Venice, Sundance, Warsaw, Glasgow, New Orleans, Rooftop Films, and HollyShorts. Juan Pablo has written and directed films for Galleria Continua, Louis Vuitton, MoMA, and the Bronx Museum of Art. He is an adjunct faculty member at his alma mater, New York University—Tisch, where his MFA thesis film was executive‑produced by Spike Lee. Juan Pablo has been selected for the NYU Purple List, the NYU Production Lab Development Studio, Berlinale Talents, and the Sony Future Filmmaker Awards.
