About the director
Mark Reyes is a filmmaker, visual artist, Eagle Scout, and second-degree black belt from NYC. His passion lies in utilizing a wide array of mediums, including props, costume design, cinematography, editing, animation, and VFX, to capture moods and share insights gained from his experiences on this extraordinary planet.
Creating artwork is a soulful expression for him, and he endeavors for his work to resonate with people worldwide, enabling them to articulate struggles and emotions they may find difficult to express themselves. He is always seeking to expand his knowledge, eager to learn new techniques, and collaborate with unique individuals to bring his visions to life.
Mark's work has shown at Fantasia International Film Festival, Fantaspoa International Film Festival, Boston Underground Film Festival, The Plaza with Buried Alive Film Fest, The Alamo Drafthouse with Non Films screening showcase, and many more.
Filmmaker's note
When I had cancer, I envisioned myself as a warrior made of light, trekking through the void and illuminating everything he touched. No fear, darkness, or monster could take that away from me. If I died, I would accept my destiny with bloody hands, swinging my fists into the night. I wanted to capture this chapter of my life and send that frequency out to the stars, hoping it might help others in their own personal battles.
