Synopsis
Killian is a college senior hooked up to an IV drip of instant gratification and convenience. One night, a mysterious invite to a party called "EXPOSURE THERAPY" is slid under his door. Intrigued, he attends — but there's something off. The party seems to have clocked him right away...

About the director
Adrian Hui is a writer-director from Hong Kong. His work interrogates the many ironies embedded in modern pop culture and societal norms. His previous short, "The Blurry in a Still World", premiered at the Hong Kong Asian Film Festival. He also works as a touring video creative in the music space.
He graduated from NYU Tisch's undergrad Film & TV program in 2025. Since then, he has set his sights on becoming a niche internet microcelebrity.
Filmmaker's note
We are spoon-fed a diet of convenience. We can have virtually whatever we want, whenever we want it. This overshadows a spiritual crisis — we are disconnected from our truest selves that crave actualization.
The question I’m asking is: How far away are we from the ideal version of ourselves we dreamed of becoming as children? Short-term hits of dopamine reinforce the idea that resistance is futile.
Until something shakes us out of our stupor. A sudden and shocking infusion of self-awareness, that tells us to fight back...
