Synopsis

The former strongest man on earth and his crafty manager tour small-town South America staging wrestling matches and challenging all comers. Arriving in Santa Maria, they meet with uncommon enthusiasm - and face a major threat to their livelihood and their friendship. About the director

Born in 1976 in Montevideo, Uruguay, Alvaro Brechner now lives in Spain. He has directed several documentaries for broadcasters like TVE and the History Channel and the 35mm short films The Nine Mile Walk (2003), Sofia (2005), and Segundo Aniversario (2007). These short films have participated in more than 140 international film festivals, including Clermont-Ferrand, London, Los Angeles, Chicago and Gijon (Spain), capturing several awards. Bad Day to Go Fishing, Brechner's feature film debut, premiered at Cannes 2009, Semaine de la Critique.
