About the director
Étienne de Massy was born in Canada in 1969. He graduated from Concordia University (Montreal) and also studied at the Tisch School of the Arts (New York). A practitioner of digital photoanimation, he is the author of the Somnia cycle initiated in 2007. Recent participation in film festivals include among others : Mostra internationale di video e cinema oltre (Milano), Vidéoformes (Clermont-Ferrand), Internationales Kurz Film Festival (Hamburg), Interfilm (Berlin), VIFF (Vancouver) and the Festival du Nouveau cinéma (Montreal). In 2009 he won 1st prize at the VAD (Digital Video Arts) in Spain for Somnia_3
