Synopsis

"Fame is fleeting, but obscurity is forever." In the knock 'em down, drag 'em out world of Street Scrabble, Tanner is the "self ranked" number 1 player on the circuit. Yet this isn't enough. Sure the notoriety and prestige is nice for now, but what becomes of him when the game has passed him by. The career of a Dirty Scrabble player can't last much longer on average than 73 years for men and 78 for women. What Tanner wants is to leave a legacy, and when he found "the kid," suddenly a legacy seems within reach.

About the director

Jason Ubaldi has a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Villanova University. After realizing that the world of commerce held no interest whatsoever for him, he took a job as the field producer for the Maury Povich television program (a show with a long summer hiatus). Shot guerilla style in three days on mini-DV, "Dirty Tiles" is the collaboration of what happens when creative people have a summer hiatus to do nothing.
