About the director
Alan Jensen is a cinematographer and art filmmaker from Albuquerque, New Mexico. He currently resides in both New York and New Mexico, lensing commercial, fashion and narrative film projects in addition to managing progressively larger works of his own. He is best known for his dance cinematography, having photographed flagship projects for esteemed dance companies like Alvin Ailey, and most recently for renowned Dance Africa choreographer Abdel Salaam. His personal work is often driven by the grittier elements of the Southwestern landscape, coupling themes of science fiction and romanticism into short narratives with highly stylized, operatic neo-western sensibilities.
