About the directors
Kate Adams - Kate Adams and Max Azulay went to elementary school, middle school and high school together but they never spoke. Between the ages of 3 and 8 years old, Kate was in Max’s moms after school art program, where she learned to make stories out of cardboard. After college, Max embarked in a career in screenwriting and directing, and Kate became an actor in film and TV. After a chance meeting in New York City one snowy day, the two of them decided to write something together. Then Covid hit and, for a year, they’d FaceTime every morning from across the country and write together. Two things happened: they wrote several screenplays and they fell in love. “Carmen & Moony” is their first film together. They are now working on a feature
