Synopsis

Summer is over. At the combo hot dog stand boat rental shop, Lane hopes to wait out her shift by getting high and avoiding the rain. The arrival of a flirty late-season boat renter, Cara, throws her plans into chaos.

About the directors

Spencer Thielmann - Spencer Thielmann spent his childhood riding bikes and bothering his neighbors in the suburbs of New Jersey. A graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, Spencer came up as a filmmaker through camera department and has gathered a deep understanding of the technical aspects of production. His work with his partner Emily Berge has been screened at the British Film Institute, featured on Short of the Week, and appeared at New York City Comic Con. Spencer is currently a creative director at Konrad and Paul, where he has produced and directed work for Meta, Spotify, Pop-Tarts, and won a New York Emmy for his work with NBC.

Emily Berge - Emily Berge was raised in southern Iowa on thunderstorms and Friday night football games. A writer and filmmaker based in the Hudson Valley, Emily and her partner Spencer Thielmann had their short film COSMIC BOWLING featured on Short of the Week, as well as being screened at the British Film Institute. Their work has appeared on Film Shortage's Short of the Week and at New York City Comic Con.

Emily attended NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, graduating with a degree in Film & Television with a focus in Screenwriting. As a student, she read for Indian Paintbrush, 20th Century Fox, and Random House Studios, as well as working for VH1. Emily has previously worked in publishing in marketing, creative development, and literary agenting. She currently works at Bard College at Simon’s Rock.
