Synopsis
Four young girls take their first steps guiding anglers on the banks of Laxá in Aðaldalur, Iceland´s biggest salmon river. The river banks hold their family history and the girls are the 7th generation of guides. As the summer unfolds, they grow in confidence and skills while also making mistakes. At the same time nature is facing challenges, and so is their future.

About the director
Writer and director Gagga Jónsdóttir released her feature film debut, “Stitch’n Bitch,” in 2021.
Gagga has directed episodes on television series and served as a show runner.
The feature film “Agnes Joy,” which she co-wrote and produced, got the Edda Award for Best Script in 2020.
Tight Lines is her debut feature-length documentary film.
