About the director
Max Philipp Schmid was born in 1962. He studied Art History at the University of Basel and Fine Arts at the Basel Art School. He worked as a set designer and as a curator for video art programmes. He works regulary as a video technician for other artists such as Claudia & Julia Müller, Carsten Höller, Diana Thater, Muda Mathis & Sus Zwick, John Baldessari (a.o.). Since 2002 he has been teaching the art of the moving image at the Basel Art Schcol. Since 1990 he has been an independent video artist.
