Synopsis
A greenish clay creature cuts a Barbie doll into pieces with the aim of turning itself into a femme fatale.... with unexpected results!
About the director
Born the 20 August 1973 in France, Sophie Laguës led a nomadic life throughout Europe, living alternatively in Paris, New Orleans, Berlin, Prague and Rotterdam. After completing her studies in Philosophy and German Literature, she turned to filmmaking and especially animation, which she studied at FAMU in Prague and at the Utrecht School of Arts in the Netherlands. The extremely personal sphere of her style is marked by a surrealistic and corrosive humor as well as dreamy poetry. A suppressed violence underlying a seemingly naïve and childish surface aims at expressing the unspeakable through various animated techniques such as pixilation, clay, puppet and object animation.
