Synopsis
On the eve of her wedding, Lu is taken by surprise when Xiatian arrives unannounced at her doorstep, with a plea for one last adventure: a daring journey across the China-North Korea border.
About the director
Chen Li graduated from NYU’s Tisch School of Arts. He was the DP of Hippopotami, which was selected for the 2025 Sundance Film Festival and the Berlin International Film Festival’s Critics’ Week.
His directorial work includes Lily’s Pain Shop, an official selection at ZINEBI IFF, and IN THE PALACE IFF, as well as Something Blue, which screened at the NYAFF and the San Jose IFF.
