About the director
Alessia Paino is an Australian animator based in Melbourne. She Graduated from Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School before completing her degree in Animation and Interactive Media at RMIT University. Paino is particularly interested in the connections between music and animation, her experience with audio-visual synesthesia providing inspiration for her music and art. Through her work, she seeks to reach into the dreamlike world of the subconscious. Her goal is to allow viewers to see their inner-worlds reflected onscreen and provide a sense of catharsis.
