Synopsis

A girls' school romance. Deirdre attends an Irish-language school. She is fifteen, lonely and has an unfashionable interest in 70s punk bands. Then her classmate Olive takes her in hand, teaching her how to smoke, taking her shoplifting and drinking vodka in the park. But Olive and Deirdre want different things ...

About the director

Neasa Hardiman is an award winning writer / director who has worked across stage, screen and television, writing and directing documentary and drama for public service network RTÉ in Ireland. Olive is Neasa's third short film for cinema. She is currently developing a number of feature projects.
