About the director
Kent Bassett became interested in filmmaking as a teenager and first studied directing at age 16. While completing his Bachelor's degree in history and political science at Swarthmore College, he continued to pursue film through a course on documentary production. He went on to purse a Masters of Fine Arts in film production at Chapman University. The Line is his largest production to date and his most person. Growing up in Arizona, Kent was surrounded by debates about immigration and the Arizona-Mexico border.
