About the director
Darin Quan is an Asian American director originally from California, transplanted to Brooklyn in 2007. He started drawing at 2, writing short stories at 10, playing guitar at 14, taking photographs at 17, directing at 19, and, well you get the idea.
His work includes directing (”The Adulterers”,Sundance, 2018), and cinematography (”Diverge”, ”What Children Do”, ”Empathy, Inc.”) and he plays guitar in the NY band Backyard Soul. Darin loves the playground of filmmaking, from storyboards to final sound mix, and believes every part is important. His secret loves are spreadsheets, sour patch kids, and Zeiss lenses. He lives in Brooklyn with his wife and cat Phil.
