Synopsis
Devil's Canyon weaves together a narrative growing out of a collection of abandoned images and super 8 landscapes of the American West. Mechanical horses, a doomed automobile town, and distressed cowboys are composited into a tale of American tragedy.
About the director
Kelly Sears is a filmmaker and animator who lives and works in Los Angeles. She received her B.A. from Hampshire College in Media Practice and Theory in 2000 and her MFA from the University of California, San Diego in 2005. Her work has been screened at various festivals and galleries around the country.
